PHOTO ART DIRECTION

The closest I’ll come to being an interior designer IRL

I’ve had not one but two stints creating editorial photography for Target’s home division, a perfect fit for someone like me who’s obsessed with interiors (it was my second career option after graphic design.) My imagery spanned multiple divisions—furniture, decor, domestics, kids, housewares and outdoor living. It was produced both in a traditional studio setting and with Target’s stellar in-house 3D team, which was a totally new experience for me. The photography had to not only feature that season’s product priorities, but be inspirational, delightful, inclusive and fit technical parameters to a tee.
